Checkbook - Account Tracker App Reviews

I have a weekly "everything" budget so this app works really well as a way to record expenses and keep an eye on how much I have left. I upgraded to the pro version because the ads were so annoying and, Ive gotta say, the "pro features" are pretty lackluster. The available charts arent really very helpful or detailed. But the strangest thing is that the 7-day period they look at for "weekly spending" is Saturday to Friday!!?! I wish there was an option to change this preference...or that they would at least use a calendar week as the default! So bizarre.

Looks like the developer has abandoned this app. Last update was 2014. Doesnt work with iOS 10

My overall opinion of this app is very good. I purchased the app a while back. Recently, I changed phones (turned in old phone) and completely lost my checkbook register with my old phone. I thought that by purchasing the app and having a password, it would "remember" me and my transactions. Very disappointing and difficult to "start all over". In hindsight, I should have emailed it to myself. Live and learn. Otherwise, it is very good.

Much easier than a paper checkbook to keep track of debit card spending.

This app works great and has tons of categories which is very helpful. I only wish that it had a current balance and an actual balance so if (lets say) you wanted to list a direct deposit/income amount a couple days before it actually happens youd see how much you actually have and how much you will have as opposed to how much is coming and how much you will have... if that makes any sense? Anyway, thats my only sore spot. Otherwise its a highly functional and helpful app for anyone trying to keep track of electronic financial matters.

This app changed my life! and its free!! woo hoo! I finally parted ways with my old school check register to this. PLUS I NOW now where all my cash goes, because it is SOO easy to just add it. Has helped me on budgeting.

Just wish it would sync across my devices!!!!

Im selling my iPad, but i cant move my informations to my iPhone.

This is an awesome ledger app; I dont even use a physical one anymore for any of my accounts!

Most people get paid every two weeks and each check is not the same amount. So the recurring check #1 amount is actually every four weeks (fortnightly). Apps like this could be really great, but then something as simple as this, makes them unusable.

The only reason its not a 5 is because I purchased the app and my purchase history from the free version didnt transfer over. Really upset about that!

Relax a bit on the ads other than that great app

I use this all the time now and I like the categories, graphs, and running balance with the transactions.

Wont keep my things in order.

Great App! I am a small business owner and it makes keeping track of my business spending very easy.

Simple and easy to use. Doesnt try to do too much like most checkbook apps. Wish it included current balance and available balance, so I can more easily reconcile uncleared transactions.

The app does mostly everything I want in a checkbook. Being able to add a custom category would be nice. Really like the running total with each transaction and the auto filling in with a recognized payee.

As a young couple expecting our first baby, this app is everything we were looking for -- and more! Ive read a few poor reviews and I contradict every one of them. The application does not lagg; it runs as fast as your internet/phone service allows. Perhaps its because our monetary situation isnt very complex, but this app works like a dream. Were able to keep different accounts (I.e., Baby, Groceries, Novembers Check) and see exactly where the money is going and coming from. If my father-in-law lends or borrows money, it helps us keep track of it. If we receive extra cash as a gift or one of us picked up an odd side job, we can keep track of it. We know when were spending money on gas, what were buying on our food credit card, when were over-doing it on the itty bitty baby things, or lending out too much that we dont have. This application is simple, runs smoothly, and is a life saver for us.

OK - so I do love this app. Love how it shows a running balance - I like the layout and all the options. BUT ... it doesnt have the ability to sync across devices. Even if you pay the $2.99. So many apps sync these days its almost a necessity - hard to understand why these developers cant make it happen. And users have been saying this for well over a year on their reviews. If it synced I would give it 5 stars !!

I have the app on my IPad. When I downloaded the app for my iPhone there is no way to sync them. I have asked the developer to create a user ID and password and this way we can login using iPhone or iPad and information cant be synced. When I upgrade to a new iPad and iOS this app did not carry over any of my information. I had to start from scratch. However, Im glad I had emailed myself the check registers each month. For each situation mentioned above, the developer did not respond. For this reason I am looking for a new check register app that I can sync on my iPad and iphone and does not drop data when you upgrade your devices.
